Sudden Oak Death Incident Submissions
OakMapper is designed to let users explore and contribute to our database. On this page, you can view known and suspected locations of Sudden Oak Death. Red points cases of SOD that have been confirmed by laboratory tests. Yellow points were all submitted by the OakMapper community, but have not been confirmed in laboratory tests. You can learn more about each point by clicking on it and viewing relevant information under the 'Selected Point' tab. Use the form that is found under the 'Submit Data' tab to add a location to the map.

Oak species:Coast Live Oak
Symptoms:Seeping, Bark discoloration, Crown discoloration (except deciduous), Numerous brown (dead) leaves, Shoot die-back, Fungus (Hypoxylon), Beetle frass ("saw dust"), Beetle bore holes
Setting:Residential area - natural setting
Description:Scores of dead tan oaks over the past five years. Many infected bays and madrones.
