Sudden Oak Death Incident Submissions
OakMapper is designed to let users explore and contribute to our database. On this page, you can view known and suspected locations of Sudden Oak Death. Red points are cases of SOD that have been confirmed by laboratory tests. Yellow points are all submitted by the OakMapper community, but have not been confirmed in laboratory tests. You can learn more about each point by clicking on it and viewing relevant information under the 'Selected Point' tab. Use the form that is found under the 'Submit Data' tab to add a location to the map.
The Interactive Map allows you to explore the OakMapper data set using Google Maps. Use the zoom and pan tools within Google Maps to see different areas; click on a point to see details in the "Selected Point" tab; or submit a point by filling out the form under the "Submit Data" tab. The draw point and draw polygon options allow you to delineate the affected areas directly on the map without any xy coordinates. Signing up for an OakMapper account allows you to comment on points and to track your submissions and comments. The video below shows how to register for OakMapper and to report a suspected location of SOD.
